What elections will take place in 2024?
For the year 2024, there will be several elections in Georgia:
Primary Presidential Elections on March 12th
General Nonpartisan Primary Elections on May 21st
General Presidential Elections on November 5th
Are you eligible to vote?
If you’re a citizen including Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands or naturalized and over 18 without a felony or declared incompetent by a judge you can vote.

What do I need to vote?
A photo identification (passport, driver’s license, state or federal ID, military ID).
If naturalized and pending, please take your naturalization documents.
Is my vote important?
All eligible US citizens registered to vote, CAN and SHOULD vote in these elections. Every vote counts when electing our elected officials. They have power over municipalities, the state at large, and the entire country (President).
What if my registration is pending?
If your name says “pending,” you can vote, even if it doesn’t come up in the registered list of voters of the secretary of state, YOU CAN VOTE.

What happens if I don’t speak English?
You have a right to vote. Thanks to the work of various community groups you can have someone to help you vote as long as it’s not your employer or a union leader. Please call 470-765-VOTE (8683) if you need guidance. Don’t let yourself be intimidated, you HAVE the right to a translator.
If you vote in Gwinnett county, you can vote in Spanish.

Para el año 2024, hay varias elecciones en Georgia:
Elecciones Primarias Presidenciales el 12 de marzo
Elecciones Generales Primarias no partidistas el 21 de mayo
Elecciones Generales Presidenciales el 5 de noviembre
¿Es elegible para votar?
Si es ciudadano de los EE.UU., ya sea por nacimiento (incluyendo Puerto Rico, Guam e Islas Vírgenes) o naturalización, mayor de 18 años sin un delito grave o declarado incompetente por un juez, ¡PUEDE VOTAR!

¿Qué necesito para votar?

¿Es importante mi voto?
Todos los ciudadanos estadounidenses registrados para votar PUEDEN Y DEBEN votar en estas elecciones. Cada voto cuenta para elegir a nuestros funcionarios electos, incluido el presidente. Estos funcionarios no solo tienen poder sobre municipalidades, ciudades, estado pero también sobre el país.
¿Qué pasa si mi registro está “pending” (pendiente)?
Si su nombre sale como “pending” (pendiente), puede votar. Aunque su nombre no salga en la lista de votantes del secretario de estado, PUEDE VOTAR.

¿Qué pasa si no hablo inglés?
Usted tiene derecho de votar. Gracias al trabajo de grupos comunitarios, usted puede llevar a una persona que lo ayude a votar, siempre y cuando no sea su jefe (o empleador) o alguien de su unión de trabajadores. Si no tiene a alguien de confianza, por favor, llame al 470-765-VOTE (8683), tenemos intérpretes para ayudarlo y que vayan con usted a su lugar de votación. No se deje intimidar, ¡su voto y su voz cuentan!
